Welcome to Gather and Grow Food Shelf and Connection Center
We work side-by-side with families in times of need. We are grateful you are here! We welcome anyone in need of groceries, personal care items, and household items. You do not need any documentation to become a shopper. In addition, we do offer wrap-around services beyond groceries and would love a chance to visit with you on how we can help assure your well-being.
We are here for you and your family
- You may have a New Shopper appointment and shop on the same day.
- You may shop two times per month if you live in our service area.
- Come at least 15 minutes before closing.
We do not require any documentation to shop with us.
A person can sign up as a shopper and shop the same day. We do not require any documentation to shop with us. We will ask for verbally stated Name, Address, Email, Phone Number, Birthdate, and annual household income. We also ask for the names and birthdates of everyone living with you. We do this because we use household sizes to help with inventory.
Eligibility Criteria
- Our service area is Waconia School District 110 boundaries, Carver, Wright, Sibley, and McLeod Counties.
- We do not require proof of income.

Be sure to give yourself time to shop! Our doors are locked promptly at closing time.

If the Waconia School District is closed due to bad weather, the Food Shelf is also closed. If the schools have a delayed start, the Food Shelf will likely have a delayed start. If you are unsure if the Food Shelf is open call (952) 442-3878 for a message.

WHAT WE OFFER
The Waconia Food Shelf is a community organization providing food and supportive services to those in need. We are committed to serving our families in a pleasant, dignified environment. We make an effort to provide a variety of foods our families can choose from to promote healthy eating. We offer food and groceries, household essentials, personal care items, monthly mobile grocery delivery, life skills classes, birthday bags, pet food, and seasonal kids resources.
